Full-time Technical Support Officer role (Level 2) available in the Lower North Shore of Sydney.
Our client, an ICT services provider with several small branches throughout Australia, is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist for their Sydney Office.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Technical Support Specialist will provide reactive and proactive resolution and service request management for applications, software, hardware and network systems, including user administration.
With the role requiring a strong customer service and remote support focus, the successful candidate must possess superior communication skills and have a genuine interest and passion for IT and finding solutions for clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Answering incoming support telephone calls and assisting customers remotely
- Providing accurate incident resolution and service request management within a timely manner
- Diagnosing, assigning and escalating service requests to applicable staff for application, software, hardware and network incidents
- Liaising with internal support teams and external service providers to resolve incidents
- Attending customer sites to assist with technical activities and/or projects
- Ensuring service requests are logged, monitored and tracked.

- Basic Routing
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Desktop and server troubleshooting
- Basic third-party software troubleshooting
- Active directory and group policy management
- Switch and router configuration and deployment
- Printer deployment and troubleshooting
- Microsoft Azure environment troubleshooting
- Clear and fluent communication.
All applicants should be aware that weekly travel will be required in order to service regional, intrastate, and, on occasion, interstate clients. All travel expenses will be covered. An on-call rotating roster will also be part of the job requirement.
