I love that as a small business we have a close-knit, family-centric, culture that helps us work together seamlessly. It is also a point of pride to work in a business that has been operating locally for 25+ years and has contributed to the success of other small businesses.
What is your greatest source of enjoyment at the HB Group?
I enjoy watching other businesses succeed to the point where expansion of their current staff is necessary.
Where do you feel you add value to candidates who are looking for work?
I add value to candidates by hearing them. I hear their stories, their backgrounds, and their goals and I use this knowledge when considering them for positions.
Where do you feel you add value to clients who are seeking recruitment and/or HR support?
Having had a diverse working background, I am able to determine how a candidate may fit within an organization. Clients can be assured that not only will shortlisted applicants have the right skills and experience but will also contribute to the businesses vision.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in your career?
Passion is most important. Without passion, you’re working a job, not building a career.
If you asked a client to describe you, what would they say?
They would probably say that I love to chat, often going off-topic!
Can you tell us about the most memorable moment of your career?
Walking into the office on my first day. I like to think that every candidate I place feels the same way on their first day.
